After back surgery, calcification of the disc occurred, and surgery is not possible.
In 2024, I had a herniated disc in my back.
So, I quickly had surgery.
Everyone around me said that after the surgery, I would be able to live my daily life.
So, the hospitalization period was very short. It was just 3 days.
At that time, I didn't know. I didn't know it would be this hard.
I want to share my experience with my back so that no one else has to go through what I did.
It’s been 7 months since my back surgery.
Now, I’ve become disabled.
Since the surgery, there has been a subtle pain in my back.
When I tell the doctor, he says his surgery was perfect.
He tells me to go to a big hospital if the pain gets worse.
I met the worst doctor.
Two months after the surgery, I walked a lot to recover.
I walked about 5 hours a day.
Now that I think about it, it was too much.
Two months after the surgery, the surgery area hurt a lot.
So, I spent a lot of time lying in bed.
After two months, I went to the hospital and got an MRI, but the doctor said there was nothing wrong.
People around me said that pain like this happens when the muscles become stiff.
So, I kept walking regularly.
I walked so much, but instead of getting better, it kept getting worse.
Five months after the surgery, the pain became so bad that I was worried it might have recurred.
I got an MRI again, but there was no problem.
I thought maybe there was something wrong with the bones, so I got a CT scan.
The doctor didn’t carefully check the CT.
But I was really curious, so I did a detailed analysis myself.
I found something on the CT.
It was calcification...
It was the worst situation.
So, I tried to figure out why the disc calcified.
When I looked closely, I saw that before the surgery, the end surface of the slipped disc had already calcified.
But the surgery didn’t completely remove the slipped disc.
Before the surgery, the CT didn’t show any calcification.
When the disc ruptured, inflammation had already started.
The pain was beyond imagination. I wished I had died at that time.
I had surgery three days after the disc ruptured, but the surgery started when the inflammation was already very serious.
The doctor said the inflammation was sticky because it had been there for a long time.
I think the calcification happened because of the inflammation caused by the rupture.
The disc calcified, and I went to many hospitals.
Even if the calcification is removed by surgery, they say that inflammation can come back and cause calcification again.
It became the worst situation.
Is this the end of my life...?
Conclusion
If it hurts, you must get a CT scan.
